Amazon’s Latest Logistics Centre in Germany

Amazon Erfurt ERF 1

Delivering Greatness

Logistics is one of the largest economic sectors in Germany, and Amazon is one of the world’s biggest players. The challenge for the experts at Schlau was equally huge: electrical engineering for a total area of 247,000m².

A Lifeline for State-of-the-art Logistics

Nothing works without electricity. And when it flows, everything has to be networked to perfection. The list of requirements included: medium and low voltage switchgears, transformer systems, LED lighting systems (indoors and outdoors), KNX lighting controls, safety lighting, escape route markings, fire alarm system, break call, building radio, backup network system, paging system and, of course, the general electrical equipment.

Time and Motion

Our experts from Schlau implemented this project in record time. Within just a year, everything – over a length of 318m, a width of 178m and a height of 26m – laid, stood and flowed exactly as it should. All to the greatest satisfaction of Amazon, who will put their largest logistics centre in Germany into operation in 2024.
